The Fringe is a fan-made film universe that includes video games, short films, merchandise, and more. I designed the unique font for The Fringe and created logos for different guilds and promotional materials for merchant companies.

Opulent Typeface

I was entrusted with the development of the primary typeface for The Fringe. The result of this endeavor is a typeface I have chosen to call "Opulent." Opulent was conceived as a typeface that embodies a regal aesthetic, emerging from an era of simplicity that evolved at an astonishing pace. In The Fringe’s universe, practicality often gives way to aesthetics; rather than mending a worn, rusty hole, a captain may choose to mask it with a fresh coat of paint. This narrative of swift evolution inspired the Opulent typeface to convey an air of sophistication that stands in stark contrast to the hauntingly rugged vessels it adorns. A reminder that an age of regality is over.

Regardless of the guild you represent or the captain you serve, it is essential to establish your origins and activities in the unyielding realms of The Fringe. Below are a selection of logo marks I have crafted for diverse spacing guilds, mining enterprises, and pirate factions. My intention was to create distinctive marks that reflect each guild's unique identity while still conveying a sense of unity among those with shared goals.
